This topic really matters a lot to me. I cherish genuine friendships with kind, nonjudgmental people who are there for me through thick and thin, not just during good times.

I like this... We like spontaneity but depth goes beyond that. The answer lies in continuity even on days when it feels uninteresting.

The relationships that lasted weren’t the rollercoasters - they were the ones where someone kept showing up on ordinary Tuesdays.

We optimise everything now, so staying put when things go quiet feels like missing out. But maybe not everything worth having announces itself.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

My friend gifted me the phrase “lean into it” — depth invites us to lean in to the intimacy we are building with another soul. We cannot force it or resist it, simply lean into it and keep showing up. Love this piece. Thank you.

This gave me a lot to contemplate. I think depth and spark are almost opposites. The former moves from the outside in, while the latter comes from the inside out.
